Once again a wonderful show and an extremely professional performance from a very enthusiastic cast.  I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and hope that you are able to find a new venue ... can't imagine next year without a rendition of 'If I Was Not Upon The Stage'! Well done to all involved.

This was the first panto I have ever been to but it will definitely not be the last. I thought the show was very professional and it was obvious that every member of the cast had put so much time and effort in. There was plenty of humour, excellent singing, brilliant timing and the scenery was really good - I can't wait for next year.  I thought the venue was an excellent choice - to be able to grab a half time drink was appreciated and of course you have use of the large free car park.  Well done to all concerned and thank you for an excellent night out that did not cost a fortune!

On Sunday 8th March, Susan Campbell-Kelly from Stone wrote...

Just to let you know what a wonderful show we thought Cinderella was. Ian and I have been involved with productions in one capacity or another for many years and we both thought how professional it was - the set design, the movement, the singing and the acting - in fact the whole package. It was made all the more special by seeing past pupils of mine enjoying themselves so much. This is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to come together and learn new skills and make new friends. It would be a real shame if this could not continue - there are so little opportunities for people like this in the Stone area. We have such a wealth of talent and people who are willing to work to put on productions like this - why should we loose this. Again many thanks for a most enjoyable evening.

I have taken or arranged for my Brownies to go to all the Stone Little Theatre pantomimes they have produced for the past 30 years and my Brownies have always been very well behaved. Why? well, for a start, they know how to behave but what also helps is that they are NEVER bored. They, along with the Leaders, are always so well entertained by all who take part. Thank you Chris and all your team, including all the backstage staff, musicians and front-of-house staff, for entertaining us and keeping us amused for the past 30 years. We are keeping our fingers crossed that next year we will again be in the audience watching the cast of Stone Little Theatre at the Bibby Sports and Social Club. Where else could we go to see such a wonderful performance and at such a convenient venue?. Nowhere!

Sixteen of Helen's 2nd Stone Brownie pack have also added their comments during the week. Please see below.

I have been to Stone Little Theatre many times - to pantomimes as well as plays.  I must say that they exceed all the expectations of a small drama group in the efforts of everyone. The singing especially from Cinders and  Buttons and the dancing from the children was exceptional. 'If I Was Not Upon The Stage' was beyond pain at the end from laughter. Well done to everyone. I do hope the Ugly Sisters are now better (they were both suffering with colds during the show).

On Tuesday 3rd March, Andy Mullineux from Newcastle-under-Lyme, wrote...

A brilliant show. I went on two nights and both were equally impressive. The Ugly Sisters and 'If I Was Not Upon The Stage'' were hilarious. The singing was brilliant throughout, particularly the Fairy Godmother singing 'Hallelujah'. I hope the club lives on for future great performances like this one.

What a superbly funny and well presented production. We travelled from our home in Hertfordshire to see the show and were not disappointed. Our two boys James (11) and Harry (8) were laughing all the way through especially at the ad libs of the Ugly Sisters and the extra bonus at the end - 'If I Was Not Upon The Stage' - was the icing on the cake. I do hope that you can find a way to continue putting on more shows like this!

On Monday 2nd March, Dave Baskeyfield from Stoke-on-Trent wrote...

I went along to see Cinderella on Friday evening with three children. We had a fantastic evening and the children are still talking about the show now and asking when the next one is. It was a fantastic night of entertainment and thoroughly appreciated by all. The script was fabulous, the cast were tremendous and the comedy was hilarious. An excellent night of comedy, laughter and almost tears at the end of the performance whilst being treated to the best rendition of 'If I Was Not Upon The Stage' I have ever seen performed live. Thanks to all involved for another memorable night and good luck for the future to all of the talented cast who worked so hard and  performed so well. Each and everyone of you did the Stone Little Theatre proud. THANK YOU.

On Monday 2nd March, Alan Frayn, author of our 30th annual pantomime from London, wrote...

Having provided the scripts for Stone Little Theatre's pantomimes over the last 7 years, I always attend a performance, not only to marvel at their interpretation of my words, but for a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable night out!

We also visited the professional panto at the heavily subsidised Regent Theatre, Hanley, only to find a vastly inferior show with a minimal cast and not even a pantomime Dame!  I feel so sorry for all those who believed their publicity and bought very expensive tickets as a family treat, only to be disappointed and bored.

Can the new owners of the Bibby Club not see what an asset Stone Little Theatre is to the region, providing amazing value top quality entertainment for local people and, for the young talent involved, a wonderful character-building opportunity and an experience they'll never forget?

Having visited numerous pantomimes nation-wide, I honestly believe the achievement of Chris and the gang for staging such an outstanding and large-scale production in such a venue is second to none!

On Sunday 1st March, Beryl Humphries from Stone, wrote...

Fantastic - I never stopped laughing. Just what I needed having been under the weather medically for some months. Since I came to Stone, I have not missed a Stone Little Theatre production and I can't imagine life without another. Stone should be fighting to keep this venue for further productions and for other community activities. The Bibby Club is the only place left to host any function of any size.

On Sunday 1st March, Mary Gale, Headteacher of St Michael's CE (VC) First School, Stone, wrote...

I really enjoyed the show - lots of laughs and great acting from dedicated performers. Great to see local talent having the opportunity to succeed and try out their acting skills. The dancing was lovely and so was the singing. Keep up the good work.

Several members of the company (Ella Bell and Holly Smith) are and were (Chloe Edwards, Alice Kent, Charlotte Smith and Chloe Turnock) pupils of St Michael's CE (VC) First School.

On Sunday 1st March, Neil Silvester from Stafford wrote...

What a superb performance by all the cast - excellent entertainment by some very talented performers. It will be a very sad loss for the community if they are not found somewhere they can continue to rehearse and perform.

On Sunday 1st March, Greg Hand from Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent,  wrote...

Congratulations Stone Little Theatre on an amazing pantomime! I come every year to see Stone Little Theatre perform with my family and friends and every year it is guaranteed to be a great night's entertainment. Stone Little Theatre is special - it has an intimacy that no other theatre can provide. It draws you back year after year to a cast that is exceptional and who love performing and entertaining the local community. Why would anybody want to take that away? The Bibby Sports and Social Club cannot close!

On Saturday 28th February, Paul & Vicki Kent from Stone wrote...

Another year, another fantastic production. Please don't let this be the last. Well done to Chris and all the company. Your hard work paid off and gave us first class entertainment as always.

On Saturday 28th February, Kerrie Jones from Kingsbury Episcopi, Somerset wrote...

Wow what can I say... this was the second year running that I traveled up from Somerset to see the pantomime at Stone Little Theatre! Each time it has been brilliant. It would be terrible to let all the amazing talent involved in the company go to waste... from the young dancers and singers through to the main principal actors and actresses, these shows are helping towards their future as well as providing something good for the younger generation to be involved in which is also great for their confidence.

It is rather frustrating when places like Stone Little Theatre come under threat. It is great for the community and bringing people together. The shows, directed by Chris Bell are a brilliant asset to the area and the Bibby Club should NOT be closed down. You are not only closing a building, you are closing a theatre that has been running very successfully for over 30 years! And many of the people involved have gone on to do great things! Stone Little Theatre needs to stay open. Well done to all involved!

On Saturday 28th February, Scott Bagnall from Stafford wrote...

An excellent pantomime. It was so good I came twice! Great script, songs, set, costumes and a faboulous cast! Please don't close the Bibby Club - it would be such a shame! Is it not worth keeping it open just for this?! Please think again?! PLEASE DON'T CLOSE THE CLUB!

On Saturday 28th February, Jenny Christie from Stone wrote...

An excellent show. Brilliant performances by all the cast. A lot of hard work went into producing a very professional pantomime. Please don't let it be the last. The Bibby Club must not close! It is the ideal venue for pantomime and the people of Stone.

Yet another fabulous show. Well done to everyone involved. Excellent entertainment for all the family.Such a shame it's the last one at the Bibby Club. Please please please find another venue so it can continue. Once again thanks for a great night out.

On Saturday 28th February, Bill Cartwright from Stone wrote...

This was the most fantastic pantomime ever. Far superior to anything I have seen locally in Hanley or Stafford. My only disappointment is that you didn't include the song 'Busy Doing Nothing' and dedicate it to Stone Town Council. They have spent thousands carrying out surveys about a community centre in Stone but that's as far as it ever gets. It seems to me the Bibby Club would be ideal. Let's hope we can see pantomimes and plays there for many years to come!

On Saturday 28th February, Megan Kent from Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent, wrote...

I thought your pantomime was ace! Everyone was really good.

On Saturday 28th February, Peter Jenkins from Baswich, Stafford, wrote...

How can such a talented theatre company be forced out of their home? This really is a tragedy. Cinderella was brilliant! What is Stone Town Council doing about this situation? They've wasted countless thousands carrying out surveys but that's as far as it ever gets. It seems to me the Bibby Club is the perfect answer to a community facility. Long live Stone Little Theatre!

A really enjoyable evening for all the family. The script was funny and clever, the casting and cast were wonderful and the music well-chosen and expertly performed. Lovely costumes and great scenery. The whole panto went like clockwork. A real treat. What are we going to do now without Stone Little Theatre? You'll all be sadly missed.

Well done to Chris Bell and all his team for a fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable panto! We had a great night out! We hope this won't be the last and think it would be an awful shame if the Bibby Club were to close. I recently attended the wonderful panto (Cinderella) at the Bibby Club in Stone. I really enjoyed it! I laughed and cried and sang along. I couldn't think of a better way to cheer myself up and get away from the doom and gloom of this 'CREDIT CRUNCH'. Many thanks to all the cast for giving me a great Tuesday night's entertainment.

On Thursday 26th February, Noel & Lucy Edwards from Stone wrote...

Cinderella was by far the best panto yet with fantastic performances by everyone! This is the third pantomine that our daughter, Chloe, has performed in and she enjoys every second of it. The hard work put in by everybody involved is superb. We really hope this isn't going to be the last and are keeping our fingers crossed that the Bibby Club can stay open or another suitable venue can be found. Well done to Chris Bell and everyone for thirty years of dedication.

This year's production of Cinderella was without doubt the best one I have seen. My son, Edward, played alongside Chloe Robinson and both were excellent, just like the rest of the cast. The whole company and crew are like one big family and what a joy to see so many youngsters taking part. How can Stone lose this??? Lastly a big thank you to Chris Bell for helping and inspiring my son so much!

On Wednesday 25th February, Ray & Rosemary Key from Stone wrote...

We would like to thank everyone for such an excellent evening and a very enjoyable performance - possibly your best yet. An evening at your local theatre to be entertained by talented local thespians is art we could do without loosing. You are all credit to this town, your talent and to yourselves. It would be a terrible shame for this talent to be lost and we just hope that Stone Little Theatre can live on through this tough time.

On Wednesday 25th February, Scott Bagnall from Stafford wrote...

Cinderella was one of the best pantomimes I've ever seen! We went to watch it on Friday night and thought it was so good that we went again on the Saturday afternoon. The cast were superb, there were fantastic sets, laughs all the way, great singing and great pantomime traditions! As a true panto fan, I think it would be such a shame to lose such a wonderful place. Isn't it worth keeping the Bibby Club open just for this! Think Again?! Don't close the Bibby Sports & Social Club! Please please please keep Stone Little Theatre entertaining for many years to come!

On Wednesday 25th February, David & Andrea Fox from Stone wrote...

We have over the years seen many of the productions and they have all been SUPERB. We really enjoyed Cinderella, especially the Ugly Sisters who were fantastic. Buttons played by Melissa Potts was excellent, a real talent. I can only imagine the hours put in by all involved to produce such a professional show. It is such a fantastic location enabling the young children to see so well (and us parents) and join in! The price is also a huge bonus. We all look forward with great anticipation to the 'If I Was Not Upon The Stage' at the end which is always fantastic. I think it will be an enormous loss to us all in Stone if the company has nowhere else to perform. Every possible measure should be taken to allow Stone Little Theatre to continue for another thirty years.

On Wednesday 25th February, John Reeves from Brocton, Stafford, wrote...

Your production of Cinderella was something that you can all be proud of. It is the first time that I have visited your theatre and now it seems that it will probably be the last. Can't something be done about it or is Stone really going to lose this little gem?

On Wednesday 25th February, Paul Broomhall from Stone wrote...

A great night's entertainment - a real family event. It is really sad to think that Stone is going to lose such a talented team of entertainers. Can we all do something to ensure it remains open? Well done to all involved!

We have now seen the last three shows at your theatre and all we can say is that it has been a wonderful experience every time. Our daughter, Chloe, has appeared in the last three shows. She is thoroughly dedicated to Stone Little Theatre and loves going to all the rehearsals. It is such a pleasure to see her enjoy herself so much. All the hard work and effort that goes into what you do makes a wonderful show. Please please please keep it going. We have introduced a lot of friends to your shows and each time your praises are sung. Very well done. WE WILL ALL SUPPORT YOU IN ALL THAT YOU DO FOR THE FUTURE. WELL DONE. Many thanks.

On Tuesday 24th February, Maddie Turnock from Aston, Stone, wrote...

Congratulations to Chris Bell and the team for putting on another fantastic show. How do you do it? Thank you for asking Chloe to join Stone Little Theatre. She has watched many shows along with us and it was a delight and a pleasure for her to be involved. Chloe loved every minute of it from rehearsals to the performing nights. You all put so much time and effort into making such a fantastic show. It will be a shame if the Bibby Club closes. It is such a perfect venue. A big well done to everyone involved and good luck for the future.

On Tuesday 24th February, Lucy Woodward from Meir Park, Stoke-on-Trent, wrote...

Congratulations to everyone involved in the panto this year. We had a fabulous night! We definitely blew away all the cob-webs with all our shouting, singing and dancing! Good luck for the future.

On Tuesday 24th February, Jane Jones from Stone wrote...

A wonderful night out. The show was so entertaining and how great to see a local show presented so professionally. The costumes and sets were particularly excellent this year. The Ugly Sisters stole the show for me. Really sad to hear that the Bibby Club is due to close. What a waste of a fantastic local community facility. There's nowhere else in Stone that has the capacity for those many people with parking and a bar (apart from hotels which are too expensive for community groups such as yours). Wishing Stone Little Theatre all the very best for the future wherever your home will be.

On Monday 23rd February, Mrs Poole from Stone wrote...

Once again you have put together a brilliant panto which my husband and I and all our friends really enjoyed. Cinderella had a great cast and lovely scenery. The sad thing about it all is that it might be the last. It is such a shame that most of the local shows have to move out of town. The Stone Scout Gang Show now takes place in Stafford and the Stone Guides perform at The New Rep in Stoke-on-Trent. All this despite being told two years ago by a Stone Councillor that the Town Council had both the land and funds to build a new community theatre. Chris - you're are a star. Thank you for bringing so much joy into the lives of ordinary folk. I just hope that you will be able to continue your good work.

The best yet! We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone involved - you were all brilliant. The jokes were hillarious and there was some super singing from the lead roles especially Buttons and The Prince. Chris Bell's last night speech was just the icing on the cake for an evening of fabulous entertainment. Cinderella was your best panto ever - funny, slick, musically brilliant and technically superb. I just don't know how you manage to pack so much magic into two-and-a-half hours! The Bibby Club must be allowed to stay open if only to provide a home for probably the best theatre company in North Staffordshire.

Please, please, please find a new home and tell us where you're going!

You have to find a new home and continue the outstanding theatre work you've achieved over 30 years.
