Monday 16th June 2003 STONE LITTLE THEATRE WINS TWO MAJOR AWARDS IN LOCAL DRAMA FESTIVAL
On Saturday evening, eight members of Stone Little Theatre attended the annual NSDA (North Staffs Drama Association) Gala Night, this year hosted by Alsager Community Theatre at Alsager Civic Centre.
Stone Little Theatre won two major awards and were nominated for one further award.
Amy Bell received 'The Pemberton Trophy' for most adventurous approach to theatre on behalf of her father, Stone Little Theatre Director, Chris C Bell, who was in Germany on business. The award was made for last year's production of 'Walkin' Back To Happiness'.
Gerry Clenton received 'The Vice-President's Trophy', the special adjudicators award on behalf of our musicians, Angela Bromley, Robin Bailey and Graham Pickles, for their musical excellence in both 'Walkin' Back To Happiness' and 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves'.
Our under 21 dancers were nominated for 'The Junior Trophy' for their work in both productions.
